Record growth from Hong Kong in 2024 (up +27% YoY)
This week the air cargo community gathered in Hong Kong for the World Cargo Symposium. WorldACD had a look at the outbound air cargo market from Hong Kong, as shown in the chart below. After the dip in 2022, air cargo exports from Hong Kong were up +11% in 2023. For 2024, our figures show a surge in demand of +27% (period 1 January up to last Sunday), driven by the e-commerce boom, a topic that was widely discussed in Hong Kong this week.
