Continued YoY growth

In October, air cargo is almost at last year’s level

WorldACD’s figures show that the air cargo’s year-on-year performance has consistently been getting better since April. In the first half of October, air cargo measured in kilograms was almost at last year’s level with a difference of only -1%. However, when taking the distance of individual shipments into account, we see that the 2022 level has already been reached. To measure this, we look at Direct Tonne Kilometres (DTK), which is the weight of shipments multiplied by the (direct) distance between origin and destination.
The year-on-year change of air cargo weight in kilograms stood at -2% in September, whereas the change in DTK was 0%.
