For air cargo the year 2023 ended at -5% compared to 2022. However, as the year progressed worldwide chargeable weight showed a consistent positive trend. As of April 2023, each consecutive month showed a better year-on-year performance. With Dec 2023 at +5%, the year ended on a high note, resulting in +3% for Q4 , and the performance in the second half of the year at the same level as 2022. But the upward trend observed in 2023 was nothing like the downward trend in 2022: the year 2023 followed a more normal air cargo pattern that we last experienced in the pre-covid year 2019.
