Despite ongoing challenges and geopolitical twists & turns, the global air cargo industry has demonstrated solid growth in the first five months of 2025. Worldwide chargeable weight increased by +4% compared to the same period last year.
Even the month of May recorded a year-on-year growth of +4% in chargeable weight. When measured in revenue (US$), the industry performed even better, posting a +6% increase for the January–May 2025 period. However, revenue growth in May dropped to +1% year-on-year.
