Every month, the WorldACD INDEX measures the then Last 12 Months and compares them with the 12-months’ period Jan-Dec 2008. This ‘Moving Average’ INDEX eliminates seasonal patterns, thus providing a more balanced view of changes in air cargo worldwide.
Example: The (weight) index for August 2012 stands at 106.1. This means that the 12 months’ period through Aug ‘12 (i.e. the period Sep ‘11 – Aug ‘12) showed a weight increase of 6.1 % compared to the period Jan-Dec 2008.
WorldACD tracks truly worldwide developments, thanks to the unique nature of its underlying data. Our data comprise ALL Air Way Bills issued worldwide by - or on behalf of - ALL airlines providing their full monthly data to WorldACD (71 airlines as per January 2017, predominantly from the world’s top-50, together representing the highest worldwide cargo revenue presently reported to any data service).
